- Peel potatoes put in cold water and bring to a boil cook until softened, drain then mash with enough butter and milk and salt and pepper to your taste
- Brown lamb/beef mince in oil and add chopped veg and herbs and seasonings and stock. Cook until veg is tender and liquid is reduced and slightly thickened
- Put mix into oven proof dish and top with mash. Place in oven for 45-50 minutes until browned at 400°F/200°C
- Serve with veg and enjoy

This vegan Indian-spiced version, with the cumin mashed potato and the chickpeas is no exception.
